Since late September 2014 have been assisting updating a directory which requires a little of bit of real estate research on my part, otherwise my function is a simple copy and pasting of information which otherwise required other research work. The directory is a website, therefore html pages were involved. The programmer is an excellent programmer and an excellent teacher therefore able to reduce my mistakes and increase my speed to the work required. On my part there was no programming involved, however, if i may say….just as a programmer must pay attention and concentrate on the work at hand, attention of following simple directions was the main challenge throughout this updating procedure.  Along with this part time work, i was delivering Pizza full time in the afternoon evenings.

Pizza Hut

Part Time delivery for Cloverdale’s Pizza Hut. Although part time, the hours did add up to liken a full time work, now doing just part time on the weekends. Although cash flow money is made, at the end of the day i.e. year…..if not using a new car….after paying for gas, oil changes and tires, cleaning and insurance and BCAA….minor repairs and major repairs…but not including vehicle depreciation, a delivery driver is lucky to make $10 per hour and more often the net amount is less than that when calculated on the hourly basis, closer to $8. The only qualification of the job is that you can do other things that interest you while you are a sub-contractor to Pizza Hut, for instance, i study when i am not delivering pizza and study in between each delivery i.e. when it is ‘slow’.

Cloverdale is a good community, a young family community for the most part. The parents work hard, and love their children, so there is a lot of love in the community. I always look forward to going there. Its a good place to make deliveries to and an old guy like me cannot help but enjoy it. Same, the staff at the Pizza Hut are all good people and while we had some disagreements for awhile, things are going good, almost ticky-boo you might say. The store, just new as of Nov. 31, 2013 has increased business 25% in its second year particularly due to good management, good advertising campaigns and staff that works their buns off. There is not a minute that everyone of the staff is not busy everyday and there is hardly a moment to take a break from the minute they step in the door until its closing time……even if there is no deliveries going out the door at the moment, they are scheduled to do something up to the hilt, to the last second. And!…..everyone there knows how to do “everything”. That’s part of the training. I say they are all very good at it and most are perfect…or perfect enough:)) Yes, mistakes will be made “anyway”….but they do Good! At everything. A great bunch of kids. From Hong Kong, Filipinos from Dubai, East Indian from Dubai via Sri Lanka and also from a village of the Punjab, another East Indian who grew up here in Surrey and a Canadian who grew up right here in Cloverdale. The drivers are all good drivers and do an excellent job too.

Daisy Delivery

Daisy Delivery was a delivery service for flowers, groceries, and pharmaceuticals. Pay was about the same as doing Pizza, for the same reasons. As far as delivery is concerned the flower and the grocery delivery was okay, nice….to do. However, with pharmaceuticals it was with chagrin each time a pharmaceutical had to be delivered to someone. I know of the effects of pharmaceuticals and once again it was confirmed throughout the year and a half delivering to the same people and never seeing one iota of improvement. What more can you say about pharmaceuticals, except it almost breaks your heart knowing all those people in the same time could have more than likely have been not only helped but cured of the ailments if there was a sincere medical system in place. In my opinion, the public health officials should be jailed for thirty years for allowing the Rockerfellers to get away with virtually creating a degenerative health policy, education and system, then indoctrinate the public through the media and keep the people hypnotized and dependent on the poisons…..the pharmaceuticals. Slow death they call it. That’s what’s going on.

The guy who hired me was a good guy and an excellent teacher of doing these types of deliveries. Just excellent……therefore i never had a problem and mistakes were minimal. He left shortly after he hired me. Having said that, something was wrong with the management and their contract was cancelled, therefore i went to Pizza…..so i could continue to study. I was with Daisy Delivery from September of 2012 to November of 2013. Both were “Sub-Contractor” positions. That’s the way business is set up these days so no benefits get paid. Giddyup!!
